Barham PTA

Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) plays an important role in school life, bringing families and staff together while raising valuable funds to benefit every child at Barham.

The money raised helps to provide experiences, resources and equipment beyond the school’s core budget. This year, our Summer Fayre raised more than £6,000. PTA funding helps towards the upkeep of our much-loved swimming pool and has also contributed to the cost of coaches for school trips and books for our Year 6 pupils at their Leavers’ Service.

The PTA is currently fundraising for a school minibus. This would enable more children to take part in valuable enrichment opportunities, including sporting competitions, educational visits, performances and other trips beyond the classroom.

Throughout the year, the PTA organises a wonderful range of events and activities, including the Christmas Fayre, Elfridges, the Summer Fayre, pre-loved uniform sales and refreshments at school events such as the annual production and Sports Day.

The PTA meets at least once each term to plan future events, and new members are always warmly welcomed. There are many ways to get involved, whether by joining the committee, helping at an event, sharing ideas or supporting fundraising activities.

The success of our PTA depends upon the generosity and enthusiasm of our school community. We are extremely grateful to everyone who gives their time, support and encouragement—it makes a real difference to the children of Barham.
